Personal Care Provider Sentenced for Medicaid Fraud
Bonners Ferry resident Coral Mouser was sentenced for Medicaid provider
fraud, a felony, Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said. First District
Judge Benjamin Simpson sentenced Mouser to five years in prison, a
$5,000 fine and ordered her to pay restitution. The Court suspended the
sentence and ordered Mouser to serve 45 days in jail and to pay $12,465
in restitution to the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.

Attorneys General (CWAG) honored Attorney General Lawrence Wasden of

Attorney General Recovers More Than $100,000 in Medicaid Fraud Settlement
The State of Idaho has received $106,648.90 from a legal
settlement with pharmaceutical manufacturer, Alpharma Inc., Attorney
General Lawrence Wasden said.

Idaho Joins Price-Fixing Settlement with DRAM Manufacturers
Idaho is one of 33 states participating in a $173 million price-fixing
settlement with six Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) manufacturers,
Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said. DRAM is a type of computer chip
used in personal computers, servers, workstations and many other
electronic devices. The settlement is on behalf of Idaho consumers and
businesses, the State of Idaho and several local governments within

Internet Tobacco Seller Agrees to Comply with Idaho Law
The Lil’ Brown Smoke Shack (LBSS), an Internet tobacco seller, has
agreed to change its business practices to comply with Idaho law,
Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said. U.S. Magistrate Judge Candy Dale
approved the settlement with LBSS.

CONSUMER ALERT! - Grandparent Scam Continues
in Idaho
Attorney General Lawrence Wasden says his office continues to receive
complaints from Idaho senior citizens and their families reporting
attempts to cheat the grandparents out of money in what is known as the
“grandparent scam.” Wasden warned grandparents not to wire money to
callers claiming to be their grandchildren.

Jason Waters Sentenced to Prison for Insurance Fraud
Jason G. Waters, 32, was sentenced to five years in prison for
committing insurance fraud, Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said.
Fourth District Judge Darla Williamson also ordered Waters to pay
$49,197 in restitution.

Wasden and United States Reach Antitrust Settlement with Orthopedists
Attorney General Lawrence Wasden and the United States Department of
Justice have settled an antitrust case with the Idaho Orthopaedic
Society, one Boise orthopedic practice group and five Boise
orthopedists.

Wasden Obtains $1.2 Million in Drug Pricing Settlement
Two prescription drug manufacturers will pay Idaho more
than $1.2 million in a legal settlement resolving Idaho’s claims
relating to their reporting of “average wholesale price,” Attorney

Nearly 75 local government officials, journalists and citizens
attended a workshop on the Idaho Open Meeting and Public Records
laws Wednesday night (May 19) in McCall. The workshop, presented
by Attorney General Wasden and Idahoans for Openness in Government
(IDOG), was sponsored by the McCall Memorial Hospital Board.
Attorney General Wasden and IDOG will present another open
government workshop at 6:00 PM Thursday, May 27 at the Mountain Home
Senior Citizens Center. The public is invited.

Rebecca Hardy Sentenced for Insurance Fraud
Rebecca D. Hardy was sentenced yesterday to eight years in
prison for one felony count of insurance fraud. Seventh District Judge
Jon Shindurling also ordered Hardy to pay $11,247 in restitution to the
victim and a $1,000 fine. The court suspended the prison sentence and
placed Hardy on probation for eight years.

Four Idaho Peace Officers Will Receive the Medal of Honor
Two peace officers from the Boise Police Department and two
peace officers from the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office will receive the
Idaho Medal of Honor tomorrow for their extraordinary heroism above and
beyond the call of duty. The Boise Police Department officers will
receive the Medal for their valor in a 1996 shootout in Boise. The Idaho
County deputy sheriffs will be honored for their heroism in rescuing a
young girl from the Clearwater River. Read

Attorney General Sues Two Auto Service Contract Sellers
Attorney General Lawrence Wasden filed lawsuits against two vehicle
service contract sellers. The lawsuits target U.S. Fidelis and Credexx,
which used direct-mail postcards and robodialers to market the contracts
for third-party administrators.

Angela Mullaney Sentenced for Insurance Fraud
Angela T. Mullaney was sentenced Tuesday to seven years in
prison for one felony count of insurance fraud. Fourth District Judge
Richard Greenwood also ordered Mullaney to pay $10,000 in restitution to
the victim. The court suspended the prison sentenced and retained
jurisdiction for six months.

Traci Hadden Sentenced for Attempted Murder, Grand Theft
Traci N. Hadden will serve at least 10 years and up to 15 years in
prison for the attempted murder of her former father-in-law, Craig
Hadden. During a sentencing hearing in Shoshone, Fifth District Judge
John Butler also sentenced Hadden to 10 – 14 years in prison for grand

Boise Auto Dealer Pays Civil Penalty, Agrees to Change Advertising
Internet Auto Rent & Sales has agreed to change its
advertising practices as part of a legal settlement with the Attorney
General’s Office. Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said the Boise car
dealer also agreed to stop doing business with Automotive Experts, a
Louisiana marketing agency that designed Internet Auto’s direct-mail
